Now let's check out the history of bloggers. Back in 1999 a tech company named pyra Labs was founded and one of its founders Evan Williams wanted to create a free platform. Where everyone can make a website and write about their interests. This is how bloggers were born in 2003.

Four years after launch google purchased pyra labs and its main project blogger the details about the deal were not disclosed but even william said in an interview that he was very happy to join google team.

At that time his company had only six employees and that was its turning point when google purchased blogger it started growing faster and to make blogger popular google even offered all the paid services for free and also added some new features in 2004.

Google purchased a popular photo sharing website known as Picasa and integrated picasa into bloggers.

Picasa helped the user to add pictures to their blog. On 9th may 2004 blogger introduced a major redesign in which they added many new features such as professional web template email posting and many more.
